Gabriel Wekesa Wanjala, known as Gabu Mziki  was born in Webuye East,and grew up in Musikoma Bakery, Bungoma(KENYA).Gabu Mziki began poetry professionally in 2020 after graduating from High school,and has so far released more than 20 spoken words.Some of his spoken words include:

During talent shows in High school,he used to perform spoken words on various topics which made him win some awards and that made his interest in spoken words to grow.After finishing High school, he decided to focus on this field.In February 2021, Gabu was nominated a winner in Tears Of Harmony Competition for his spoken word "Mawazo"..... Later on in  September 2021 also emerged the winner at Online Spoken Word Contest.In April 2022,He performed his emotional spoken word "Barua Kwa Mama" in 'Egerton Got Talent Competition' at Egerton University and he was selected among the top 5 spoken word poets. 

Gabu Mziki has performed and collaborated with numerous upcoming artists including Jalal Muzik, Richard Satia, Esther,Shady King,Mark Baha,J.L.B, John Thee Art, Lucy,Juan KE,Livy N.,Jose Jeuri,Jonte, Kevin KE and Abiud W.

Gabu Mziki's spoken words deals with Topics such as:: LOVE, SOCIAL ISSUES,STORY, BIOGRAPHY, RELIGION,FRUSTRATION or ANGER.

Gabu Mziki is not only a spoken word artist, but also a Graphic Designer, Singer and Songwriter.
